I consider this to have been a satisfactory Christmas... I was actually able to sleep last night (in most cases, I get so excited that I can't), and then the next morning we got to open the gifts (duh). Among the usual items of clothing and other holiday amenities that mothers seem to find necessary as gifts and the items from the grandparents who never seem to know what your interests are anymore (my grandma keeps giving me elementary school-sized markers for some reason D: ), my most prized haul this year was my RP 500 guitar effects system. It is farking amazing. Not only does it come with a myriad of multiple guitar sounds and effects, it even comes with a foot pedal so I can make those oh-so-awesome "whAAAohh" noises on the strings 8DDD. I also received New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a Metallica DVD with a collection of all of their music videos from 1989 to 2004 (it's an older release, so obviously none of their 2008 album, Death Magnetic, stuff made it in), and a digital coin jar that automatically counts the change you insert in it.
That's prettymuch it, although there's always time for the after-Christmas shopping to get what Santa didn't leave ya' XD

Hoping to try to get together with Misha for New Year's... gawd, I just can't get enough of her Hope you all had a great 2009 and have an even better '10.

Seriously, though, it's storming like crazy up here: sleet, blowing snow, wind chill, the whole nine yards... at least it's Christmas eve! 8D We just got back from my grandparents' Xmas eve party and got to open some of our presents... I got a voice-activated alarm clock (other than this Mac, I have virtually NO clock in my room), another Stephen King book to add to my collection, a packet of paintbrushes (since I might start doing more paint-oriented work sometime), and Ghostbusters 1 & 2 on DVD (I've been wanting to see those movies for-freaking-EVER). I only got to open the ones from my grandparents so that still means I have more for tomorrow (which, I'm totally psyched about, but who isn't psyched about Christmas?)
Anyways, just wanting to get that all in. I'll probably update on my gewds more tomorrow...

PEPPER WILL CERTAINLY NOT BE HAPPY WITH ME.

I got to see Misha yesterday 8DD She introduced me to her friends and it was awesome getting to meet them all. We basically tried to spend the whole day just being together and making up for lost time... we were there prettymuch all day and my dad basically went to do some Christmas shopping while I was with her. The downside is that it felt so short D: Gawd, I just wish I could see her more often than just once a month... it seems like I love her even more every time I see her... we got to cuddle and all but it just wasn't enough... especially with her dad seeming to have a slight distrust with me. He doesn't leave the two of us alone for even a farking MINUTE, even though we vowed to never "do the dirty" until after we're married (and yes, I'm that sure of this relationship). I don't care if it means he has good "fatherly instincts", it makes me feel like a criminal when he treats me like that...
But I'm through griping... what's important is that I got to see her; give her something special for her birthday... and I guess that's all that matters..

Dad and I went to Guitar Central afterwards to look around... sweet, buttery Jesus, COOLEST MUSIC STORE EVAR. They had guitars, basses, drums, stage lights, software... farking everything an awesome music store needs. I had some fun messing with the different effects pads, including one that made it sound like the guitar was underwater XD. The only downside, IT'S ALL THE AWAY IN FARKING WICHITA DX...

I have two days of school left, except those last two days I'll be taking my finals, the one thing that every high schooler dreads doing DX The good news, NO MORE GYM 8D

Just naming off weird things that have happened to me this week...
oddly, today during lunch a boy who looked like he may have been a junior came over to me and informed me that a girl, whom he had pointed at, and who had tried to run off so I wouldn't notice her, blushing, thought I was "hot". He asked me if I could give him my number so that he could give it to her.
First of all, I recognized this girl, and although I had never in my life spoken with her, the rumors and whatnot I had heard about her made me believe she was a grade-A bitch... this was not the reason, however, that I turned down his request. As you all know, Misha is, and always will be, my truly beloved, and even though she lives hours away, I wasn't about to give her up for some older girl whose exact reputation I had no certain idea of. And besides, how was I even supposed to trust this guy?? I don't know about the rest of you, but when I hear some far-fetched story told to me by someone I don't know, I tend to take it with a grain of salt, because for all I know, they could be trying to somehow screw me over and possibly have me make a spectacle of myself that would possibly tarnish my entire high school life.
Aren't I a smart person? :3

Also, a senior girl who is in my band class gave me a real shock today- not so much of a shock so much as a treat- she came to school wearing a homemade FREAKING PICHU HOODIE. Holy. Farking. Lord. It took all the strength I had within me to control my inner fanboy and not spazz out, more or less risk looking like a dweeb. Not only that, she had several in her arsenal, including a Pikachu one that she donned later that day, and I received word of a WIP Raichu hoodie, even.
I friended her on Facebook and it turns out she's a pretty hardcore visual artist, and needless to say, I'm impressed. Dazzled, even. I'd give you her name and all but she'd probably freak out if she got a bunch of requests from some weird dA junkies she's never met before and stuff, you know how it all goes down... 83

In my Honors English class (that's right, I'm in HONORS English... I'm special that way, I guess), for our curricular assignment we were to choose from a list of the top-100 literature classics... Oliver Twist, Catch-22, the such... among the list, my eyes immediately landed on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (surprised much?). Needless to say, I "powersaved" it, checked it out... and to my surprise, damn, is it BORING. I can hardly believe that this lady's friends actually sat through this snoozer during that stormy night.
That's not even the worst of it. The other problem is that I'm currently reading two other books right now- both Stephen King ones- and for me, it's awfully hard to keep characters, storylines, plots and whatnot straight in my head with that much action occurring... the good news, though, is the report part. He gave us many different media to do it on: movie trailer, sketching, all that fun stuff. I chose to do a comic; and although I wouldn't consider myself to be the comic artist per se, I felt that this was the easiest of all of them, because for one, who the heck DOESN'T know what happens in that book?? And then it also occurred to me that since it's such a well-known book, reading the damn thing wouldn't even be considered necessary, what with SparkNotes and online summaries and all. Even so, I'll still try my best to read through it...
